On Location with Anatomic Shoes by Emma Morton

See some of the highlights from our recent Autumn Winter 2019 location shoot with client, Anatomic Shoes.

Arriving at busy Cuffley Station we met up with South American model Santiago, and set off for the location!

Arriving at busy Cuffley Station we met up with South American model Santiago, and set off for the location!

The location chosen by the Anatomic team was Colesdale Farm in Cuffley, not far from Potters Bar, Herts. For the day we had access to a small wooden cabin which was used as our base as well as shooting a few images inside! Surrounding the cabin was a large pond, with stables and lots of fields!

Fame hungry Monty the Anatomic dog who is the inspiration and features as the company logo!

Time to get the kit ready, go for a reccie around the grounds while the model is styled for the first look.

Equipment Spec:

  • Canon Mark 2

  • Len’s - 24-105mm

  • Canon Speedlite Flash 600 EX-RT

  • Sakonic Lightmetre

  • Elinchrom style 600 with beauty soft box

Camera and lights at the ready!

With the log cabin set up as our base it kept all equipment, clothes, accessories and of course the shoes dry on what was a day of very changeable weather conditions.

Gathering ideas together from around the area where some locals came to say hello…

Monty gate crashes the reccie!

Monty gate crashes the reccie!

Time for Paul to get shooting while Monty keeps an eye on proceedings…

Our photographers always go the extra mile to get the perfect shot, even when it means laying down in long wet grass or being nudged off a fence by the local donkeys, safe to say they were ready for their portrait!

One way of drying out from the rain…

Even superstar models need their beauty sleep, Monty grabs some well deserved Zzzzzz’s

Setting the scene for a romantic date night crashed by guess who…? Monty who only had eyes for the cake!
